D.J. has over 13 years of private equity investing experience and was involved in PeakEquity’s investments in EnterpriseDB, G5, Valiant, CareerArc, and BERA.
D.J. joined PeakEquity Partners in 2014. Prior to PeakEquity Partners, D.J. worked on the investment team at Stripes Group, a New York based growth equity firm. At Stripes, D.J. sourced and executed investments across a variety of software and technology sectors including SaaS, B2B & B2C Internet, and Mobile. D.J. began his career at Milestone Partners, a Philadelphia based private equity firm. At Milestone, he was focused on evaluation and execution of leveraged buyouts and recapitalizations of middle market businesses across various industries.
D.J. currently serves on the board of CareerArc and BERA and formerly served on the board of EnterpriseDB until sale in 2019. CareerArc is a SaaS human resources technology company that provides solutions for critical issues in employee recruitment. BERA provides SaaS brand intelligence solutions that are disrupting how global companies measure, manage and maximize their customer relationships. EnterpriseDB provides enterprise class database solutions based on PostrgeSQL, an open source database management technology.
D.J. graduated with an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 2014. While at Wharton, D.J. worked on the technology investing team at Venrock, a venture capital firm, sourcing and evaluating early stage software and technology investments. D.J. also has a BA from the University of Pennsylvania where he was a two-time captain of Penn’s NCAA Division I lacrosse team.
D.J. lives in Los Angeles with his wife and their two children. He is a former professional athlete and an aspiring surfer. His four-year-old says he makes a mean pancake.
